The Arts, Past & Present...
Today in E-comm I want you to write about your visit to London.
This week in London you saw two very different aspects of our culture. In the Tate Modern, you saw one of the most important collections of modern art in the U.K. and one of the most impressive galleries (the building itself is a converted electicity generating plant).
At the Globe you saw a reconstruction of Shakespeare's famous 16th century theatre which provides us with an insight into life in the 16th century and the stage for which some of Shakespeare's most famous works were written.
I want you to write about your excursion and think about the role that the arts played in Shakespeare's time and the role that they play today.
Does art play an important role in your life?
Think about music, design, film, fashion or any other art-form and think about how they influence your ideas and the way that you live.
Happy blogging!

Into The Future...
Today in E-comm I want you to travel through time and write about the future.
Here are some ideas of things you might want to write about:
You could try to imagine your life ten years from today...where would you like to be (and with who)? What would your daily routine be like? You can think about your family, your work/education, your environment and anything else that you would like to be a part of your future life.
You might want to write an imaginary journal for the year 2019 and talk about the things mentioned above.
If you prefer you could write about the city of tommorrow. Think about changes in technology, space travel, the environment, architecture...the list is endless. What would life be like for a citizen of the future?
Use your imagination and be creative...the future is in your hands!

My favourite film...
I hope that you all had an agreeable weekend and that you're feeling feel fresh and inspired for another week of blogging.
Today I want you to think about entertainment and write a review of a film, a piece of theatre, or any other form of entertainment that you enjoy. You might want to write a review of one of Friday night's student performances at the theatre, the last book that you read, or the musical some of you saw in London on your first week.
Whatever you decide to write about, I want you to think about the characters, the story and the way that the story was told. What did you find particularly good about the performance? What could have been improved? Would you reccommend it to your friends and if so, why?
Try to find a poster for the production or some images which correspond to the review (you can use Google Image Search) and which will add visual interest to your page.
Happy Monday!
